Hey there! My name is Ashley and yes, you may have spoken to me before….without even knowing it! I am your friendly Customer Service Center Representative for COUNTRY and have been with the company for nearly five years. This job is more exciting than you think because I just never know what that ringing phone is going to bring to me on a daily basis.
I talk to people from all over the country (no pun intended). One minute, I could be speaking with someone in Illinois who just bought a brand new vehicle and was expecting a huge increase in premiums (a huge misconception, BTW). After that I could be speaking with a nervous person in Washington whose friend just hit a deer and now they are freaking out because they want to know what the probability is that they will hit one too. So I’m often the one providing emotional support.
But my all-time call favorite is the excited new 16-year-old driver! You know the one I’m talking about! You have the excited new teenager whooping it up in the background because he just got his license and is raring to go as his mother calls in to add him to the policy. I feel like I am part of the celebration, especially when I am the one to tell them they qualify for the good student discount. Ah, to be 16 again!!
So, it really is an exciting world in the insurance and financial services business because I get to speak to someone new every day and I never know what fun story I get to walk away with. Who knows, maybe on the next call I will get the pleasure of speaking to you!
