As a Customer Service Representative I feel, to an extent, like I can make miracles happen. But there are limits.
That brings me to a caller’s recent question.
I was helping a woman check on the status of her policy. Pretty routine stuff. Nothing too exciting. Before I wrap up conversations with our customers, I always ask, “Is there anything else I can help you with?”
That’s when she asked, “Yeah, can you give me a new body?” She asked like it was a normal, everyday question.
I had to sit there for a second for it to register because, lets face it, that’s not really a question I hear everyday. I had to think fast.
“Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with a new body at this time but there is a possibility that at some point in time COUNTRY will be providing you new body parts for your car!” Probably not the answer she wanted to hear, but I hope it helped. And kudos to her for making my day a little more fun and brighter!
I still don’t know why she asked me that question, but I enjoy the off the wall stuff every now and again. It helps break up the monotony of the day! See everyone? Insurance is far from boring.
